How it works: We compare the fuel used during the idle time you enter with estimated TriPac engine and seasonal heater fuel. We subtract estimated APU service costs from fuel savings. Payback divides estimated installed cost by annual net savings. Ownership-period net savings subtract the installed cost from annual savings over the years you enter; ROI is that net amount divided by installed cost.

Estimates use only the idle hours a TriPac could replace and assume the same annual savings each year. Heater use varies with weather. Fuel price is an estimate and can be changed. Installation, service and actual savings vary by truck and operation.
